What is PCB Assembly?
PCB assembly, also known as PCBA, is the process of transforming a bare board into a functional PCB by soldering components. Without the components electronic devices cannot function properly. This step involves soldering or mounting components onto the PCB to create a functional electronic circuit.

PCB assembly technology
There are three key technologies in the PCBA process

Through-hole (THT) PCBA process: In through-hole technology, through-hole electronic components with leads or pins are soldered onto the circuit board to create circuits. The leads or terminals of the components are inserted through the holes or pads on the PCB and soldered on the opposite side.

Surface mount technology (SMT) PCBA process: There are two types of pads: through-hole and surface mount. In PCBS that use surface mount pads, surface mount devices (SMDS) are soldered to develop circuits. With the help of solder paste, the soldering process takes place on the same surface where the components are placed.

Hybrid technology PCBA process: As circuit design becomes more complex, it is impossible to insist on using only one component in the circuit. In PCBS that implement complex circuits, there are both through-hole devices and surface mount devices. This type of pcb that uses hybrid components is called a hybrid technology board, and its assembly process is the hybrid technology PCBA process.
