There are three different types of market analysis:
FUNDAMENTAL: looks for economic conditions, macroeconomic data, and trends. Most traders get this information from the news.
TECHNICAL: looks at price changes that occurs on a day-to-day and/or week-to-week basis. Also known as chart analysis since it requires traders to examine the graphic of price movement.
SENTIMENT: looks for investor opinions. This analysis involves evaluating how the markets are feeling about taking risk.
