What is Medicare Part C?

Medicare Part C is a bundled Medicare plan that includes hospitalization, medical and prescription drug coverage for most people. It also covers other services that are not covered by traditional medical insurance plans, such as dental, hearing and vision care. However, the coverage of these, varies from plan to plan. Another name for these plan is Medicare Advantage. Although it usually offer more coverage than traditional Medicare plans, people with Medicare Advantage must choose from a network of doctors and healthcare providers agreed by Medicare and the plan provider. Receiving care outside of these networks will be more expensive.
